About Us

I started University Outfitters 1865 as a proud Cornell alum who just couldn’t find university gear that felt right. Everything I came across was cheap, screen-printed, and clearly dropshipped—nothing I’d actually want to wear, let alone keep in my closet for years.

I wanted something better—something that matched the pride I felt for my school. So I set out to create it myself.

My approach from day one has been to make designer-level university apparel: garments that are built to last, that carry meaning, and that you’ll still be reaching for years down the line—or even handing down as vintage one day. I carefully vetted every factory I work with. Our hoodies are proudly sourced from Thirteen Studios, who in my opinion make the best hoodie in the world—and trust me, I’ve tried them all.

All embroidery is done in studio and made to order, so please allow up to two weeks for your piece to ship. I appreciate your patience and your support more than you know.
